Children of the Earth

July 27th, 2010 Posted in For kids |

Experiencing a weekend program with the instructors from Children of the Earth (cotef) is relaxing and magical. The stage is the landscape and the players are you. The instructors are highly trained and keep everything safe and fun. They travel to you or you can come to them.

I took my niece and sister on a weekend and I still call on the memories to motivate me. My youngest niece didn’t make the trip. She was too young so she’s waiting her turn.

I’d like to do it again so if you’re in Florida and interested in bringing the COTEF staff to our lovely state let me know and I will begin a list. If get to 20 I know we can get them to come.

Visit their website watch the video and read the stories.

The Earthling Society

July 25th, 2010 Posted in For kids |

The Earthling Society is a group of children and adults that wish to connect to the earth by experiencing her.

So each day they make a pledge to:

  1. To close their eyes and look to the sky and feel the sun or moon on their face
  2. To touch the earth with their bare feet or hands
  3. To notice the direction of the wind when it’s blowing

This simple pledge is the beginning to opening up to the many wonders of the natural world.

Begin today to follow the instructions of the pledge. Then send us your experiences and daily ritual by leaving a comment on the blog.

We Are Changing, We Are Growing

October 19th, 2009 Posted in A moment in the woods |

We are changing and we are growing.  All of our shows are under the umbrella of Speak Freely radio. About three years ago I started a radio program about the political events going on in our country. Then it morphed into a show about meditation and healing. So I have created categories to help separate the shows and make it easier for you to find your favorite segments.

Here are the categories:

  1. A Moment in the Woods
  2. For Kids
  3. The Saturday Healing Show

Interviews and Guest Hosts

Yes, I do interviews on the Saturday Show like a wellness practitioner that I think has good things to share with you. And on occasion I’ll interview an author like Deno Kazanis, who deals with the mystical and marvelous universe. Then there are guest host that will take over the “moment in the woods” segment and take us on a journey to understanding ritual like Vin DiTizio did in the segment below (I’m be adding that soon).

Here’s my interview with Deno:
